Kansas Attorney CLE hour credits

Kentucky attorneys are required to complete 12 CLE hours every year. As part of this 12-hour requirement, you must complete a minimum of 2 credit hours of ethics and professionalism.

Attorneys have the option of attending up to six (6)* credit hours of distance learning programming per compliance year.

*COVID-19 Update: The Kansas Judicial System is allowing all twelve (12) CLE hours to be completed online through distance learning programming until 9/30/2020, rather than only six (6) hours. Our 12-hour bundle will meet the full 12-hour CLE requirements.

The courses offered by CLE Academy are considered distance learning programming.

 

HOW TO COMPLETE COURSES

Here are the steps to complete a course:

  1. Purchase the course
  2. You will receive an emailed order receipt. The receipt will include links to your course(s) so that you can start your course(s) immediately, you will use these links to start or resume your course(s) at any time.
  3. Complete the course. Once you have completed the course you will be able to immediately download and print your course certificate.

How many CLE hours are required?

When is my education due?
All continuing legal education activities must be completed by June 30 of each compliance period.

Can I carry hours forward to the next year?
Any credits earned via prerecorded programming (distance learning) in excess of the six credit limit will not carry over into the next compliance period.

Does CLE Academy report my CLE hours completed?
Yes, CLE Academy will report all completed course credits to the Kansas CLE Commission within 30 days of course completion.
